Treasure Gulch 2 spans 20.66 acres and is a lode claim situated just outside Mayer in Yavapai County. The claim features multiple feeder washes and a creekbed, constantly introducing new material. It has several visible veins and large quartz outcrops that contribute fresh material to the creek bed. There are numerous exposed bedrock spots in the washes, providing great opportunities for metal detecting. The gold ore is mainly lode-vein material found within Paleoproterozoic metamorphic rock. The surrounding hills have yielded coarse lode gold which has eroded into the gulches. This claim offers excellent spots for prospecting, and the pictures really don't capture its true awesomeness. The sample picture is some gold-bearing ore from this claim.
The claim has easy road access and roads running through the claim as well (a 4x4 or even a high-clearance 2wd truck/SUV could navigate it). We have located nuggets in the washes, and good fines exist within some of the ore. This region has fertile ground with significant mineralization. If you're looking for a great claim with easy access, this is it.
We discovered gold on this claim using a PI metal detector, crushing ore, and sampling in the creekbed and washes.

You are purchasing an unpatented mining claim, which includes all interest in the claim. The claim is staked and marked according to Arizona mining laws. Claim ownership will be transferred to you via a quit claim deed once payment is received in full. The transfer will be recorded with the local County Treasurer as well as with the Arizona Bureau of Land Management per state law. Claim ownership grants you full control over all minerals on the claim as long as you maintain ownership with the BLM by paying an annual maintenance fee of $200 by September 1st of each calendar year.
